Chic Summer Office Essentials - Part 4
Rings, bracelets, and bangles, oh my! The biggest piece of the work wear puzzle is accessorizing. Jewelry helps your look feel polished and put together. It's a blast to play with jewelry! It allows you to make a look truly yours :)
"Before you leave the house, look in the mirror and take one thing off."
I LOVE this quote! I think for some of us it is very helpful and for the rest of us, we need to put more items on before we look into the mirror. Coco Chanel wore a LOT of jewelry and she looked stunning. It is more common to think about our clothes than it is to think about the jewelry to accompany them.
Jewelry is the cherry on top of an ice cream Sunday, it just wouldn't be a ice cream Sunday without it. A complete look wouldn't be complete without jewelry. I have some fabulous essential jewelry items for office looks . You may already have similar pieces in your jewelry box...
There are not many rules for necklaces. You can layer them until they feel right or wear one as a staple piece. It is really up to your own interpretation of style. I encourage you to take risks with chunkier pieces, you might be pleasantly surprised at what they add to your outfit ;)
Bracelets ~ Bangels ~ Cuffs
These are ESSENTIAL!!! They are easy to forget, but they add SO MUCH. Anything on the wrist is flattering because women's wrists are dainty and small. It's good to draw attention to those places on your body :)
If you have long fingers, you could get away with wearing a few chuncky rings. If you have more petite fingers, you can still rock them, just make sure the proportions of the ring doesn't overwhelm for hand.
Earrings are a fun and easy way to play with jewelry. I love anything from simple to large. Just remember to apply balance. If you have a necklace on, do smaller earrings, if you have a light necklace or no necklace, you can ramp up your earring size.
Jewelry is SUPER important from work to everyday. I hope you have fun playing around with new pieces and ideas!
I am always interested in the creative ways you style yourself, so please feel free to post a photo of your look to the Love, Krystle facebook page!
P.S. What jewelry pieces are your staples this summer?! XOXO
Motel Gayle Geometric Bodycon Mini Dress in Ivory and Silver
Motel Rocks ~
Bodycon Dress in Ivory and Silver Product Review
This Dress is HOT! I know you had to do a double take, but that is not me in the dress to your left. Ha! Take away about 10 inches in height and we are getting closer...sort of. I'll show you how I wore and styled this dress further in this post ;) First, I wanted to give you some info on the Motel Rocks clothing company. I am in LOVE with their style and philosophy...
About the Motel Rocks:
Inspired by vintage aesthetics and silhouettes, the brand is known globally for it's modern slant on women's street fashion and edgy, on-trend style that should not be sacrificed because of price. Designed in the UK, Motel is known for body-concious pieces that span the wardrobe needs of every woman from the celebrity to the girl next door.

This dress is SUPER sexy and unbelievably comfortable. The fabric feels silky soft, luxurious, and very posh. The geometric print with a hint of color blocking detail is to die for. This dress would be perfect for a night out on the town or a hot date (for sure), but it would just as easily fit into a sunny summer day with sandal flats. The Retail Price is $90.
Here is how I dressed this bodycon up for a night out...
Gold bangles, black sued heels, and a navy blue clutch are the accessories I used to style this look. The dress didn't need much.
I think this would be super cute paired with a white blazer...
It was very hot that day, but it would be good to have a blazer when the sun goes down or you're near the lake.
Here is a close up of the front and the back details of the dress...
The back of the dress's V is a really pretty ivory mesh.

Would I recommend this product to a client?
I ordered this dress in size XS and should have ordered it in a size S. It would have been a bit more comfortable for me. So, if you are contemplating the size, go up. Shape wear is a must in my opinion with a bodycon dress, it will smooth everything out and you'll feel more confident in it ;)
I had a lot of fun styling this dress! It doesn't need much to look fabulous, which is exactly what you want in a summer look. Thank you so much for reading!
P.S. What are your thoughts on this dress? How would you style it? xoxo
Unisex leather strap bracelet (natural color)
Support Local -
Nicholas Schmidt USA
Leather Strap Bracelet
I LOVE my local peeps, and I am all about supporting them whenever I get the opportunity! This post is highlighting a local designer Nicholas Schmidt Owner of NS USA. Nicholas is located in Madison, WI and he specializes in premier, custom-tailored denim and leatherwork. Did I say custom denim? YES, I did :) Have you wanted a pair of jeans that were MADE for you? He's your man...
Nicholas is VERY talented (a self taught tailor) and creates beautiful sustainable items. The most impressive thing to me about NS USA is that everything is custom. All of his pieces: belts, handbags, denim, bracelets, wallets, watches, backpacks, suspenders...are made specifically for you and tell the story of your life through wear.
Today I am focusing on one of his leather items that I completely adore and wear constantly.
Let me first start by saying that I don't wear bracelets often. I have abnormally small hands and wrists, so bangles and bracelets just slide off me.
Nicholas measured my wrist and cut the bracelet to fit me perfectly. I have 3 notches to choose from in case I need a little give. Someday if I get pregnant again, my wrists will be VERY thankful :)
The bracelet I own is in "natural" leather. When I first got my bracelet about 2 weeks ago, it was a solid flesh color. It now has turned darker from the sun, been discolored in some spots from water, and has slight scratches from God knows what! I now LOVE it even more. It tells my story of spending time with my daughter in the sun, changing diapers and washing hands, going on a date with my hubby, grocery shopping, drinking a cup of coffee...It holds my memories in a way and is uniquely mine.
I wear this bracelet with EVERYTHING! It blends in beautifully with my looks from classic to rocker. I usually forget I have it on (very comfortable), so it rolls with me into the next look.
The bracelet is made from 4-5 ounce vegetable tanned cowhide. The hide is from a domestic cow and it was tanned in the United States. Vegetable tanned leather is tanned using an all natural process. There are no harsh chemicals used in the process. A natural colored vegetable tanned leather bracelet will darken naturally over the course of time, as it is exposed to light and the harshness of the purchaser. The colored bracelets are dyed with Eco Flo dye, which has no harsh chemicals or odors associated with it.
Below are swatches of all the other color options.
I am currently OBSESSED with White, Turquoise, Orange, Medium Brown, and Royal Blue. If you know me that is no surprise...They are all beautiful though!
