How to Layer Summer Clothes for Fall and Winter
Lesson #2 Summer Dresses
Buckle up…Get ready for round 2! In this series, we are focusing on breaking down the wall that separates your spring/summer wardrobe from your fall/winter wardrobe. Today we are going to get some use out of those summer dresses...
Sheer Summer Dress
Simple sheer dress from Old Navy. I wore it to a wedding this past summer.
I know you have a few of these literally just hanging around. Long sleeve, 3/4 sleeve, short sleeve, sleeveless...Summer dresses are SO EASY to layer. I took my sheer green dress with a fantastic floral pattern and paired it with a navy jacket, tights, and tall cognac boots. I added a belt to highlight my waist under the jacket. Yes, I am doing black, brown, and navy together…it works ;)
Who knew those summer dresses could be so chicly layered?? You could dress them up for work by changing the cognac boots to a heel or heeled bootie and adding a blazer. I hope you have fun utilizing the little gems hiding in your closet. A HUGE thank you to Laura Houlihan of Laurels and Stars Photography for the photos. Always a pleasure collaborating with you!
